She was a dancer who competed for more than 10 years prior to starting her social media career in 2019, when she started posting dance videos on the platform for video sharing TikTok. She gained an enormous following rapidly and quickly became the most popular creator in the video-sharing platform TikTok by March 2020. Khaby Lame surpassed her by July 2022. Her feature film debut came in an appearance as a voice actor in the animated feature film StarDog TurboCat, that was released in 2020. From 2021 on, she's a participant in the Hulu Docuseries D'Amelio, and Snap Original Charli vs. Dixie. D'Amelio was a celebrity dancer in 2022 and took home the Dancing with the Stars thirty-first year with Mark Ballas. Also, she's published two books, created podcasts and has created a nail varnish collection. Other projects include a clothing company, makeup line, mattress business that includes multi-products and an apparel company. She's the only person to ever reach 50 million and a 100 million TikTok users. D'Amelio is the highest-earning TikTok female on the app in 2019, and was the highest-earning user for the app in 2022, as reported by Forbes. TikTok has often referred to the app's biggest stars.
