Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for over 20 years. She founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, journalist, TV host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she relocated to England when she was 16 and was able to graduate from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. In her 21st year, she was head of the famous debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. Being a conservative syndicated blog when she graduated, she went on to become an influential voice for the Huffington Post. It was her celebrity that has led to the attraction of many prominent contributors to share their views on current events political, culture and politics. Arianna first gained notoriety during 2003 when she volunteered in California's recall vote, to succeed Governor Davis. She was also involved in an initiative in Detroit that promoted efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Her name was voted as the most Popular Women in Media by Forbes in 2009, gaining the 12th place in that list. In the same year Guardian included her in the 100 most influential media on their list. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made the president of that media unit, which comprised of many at the time-current AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Her parents were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. While she was very close with her father, it was her bond with her mother that shaped her life. In her earliest years she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. At the age of 16, she moved to Britain to study and enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university she was a member of the Cambridge Union debating group where she rose to become the first woman and the only foreign president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned a Master's Degree in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a columnist critic, and an anchor on TV. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's assistance.
