Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American author, syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a TV host, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than 10 years. She also is the founder of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Originally from Greece, Arianna Huffington moved to England with her family when she was age 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA Degree in Economics. She was the first student non-UK to be elected president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Following her graduation, she became an influential Conservative syndicated journalist. A few more years later she created The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current political scene. Her fame led to the recruitment of a number of famous contributors who shared their views on current events as well as politics and culture. Arianna gained fame after she decided to become an Independent Candidate for the California Recall election to succeed the former governor Davis. Also, she was the head of the Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. Forbes listed her the most powerful woman in the field of media in the year 2009. Her ranking was 12th on the ranking. The Guardian also included her to the top 100 list of media in 2009. AOL, Inc. named her president of their media division in 2011 following the acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included additional AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and management consultant Konstantinos and his wife Elli Stasinopoulos. While she was close with father, her relationship to her mom shaped the course of her entire life. At a young age, she displayed the qualities of a leader and is a household name. At the age of sixteen, she left the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. She joined Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college in which she became the first woman to be elected president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. Following the graduation ceremony, she worked as a critic columnist and television host. Additionally, she starred with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
