Despacito was a track from the year 2017 that was released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. It was the most streamed track worldwide within just the space of six months. It was a blend of pop and reggaeton that not only drew attention to Latin Music but also reggaeton. The Billboard Top 100 featured two songs that were Spanish mostly, and four songs in the year 2016. At the peak of the popularity of Despacito the track was one of 19 that mainly Spanish were included in the Top 100. By 2020 the number will increase to 41 hits within this genre. In the wake of Justin Bieber's dual remix of Despacito (2017) popular artists soon began collaborating with reggaeton artists, including Drake along with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) and Madonna together with Maluma in Medellin (2019). In the year 2020, some Reggaeton artists were complaining about the advancing of their genre to the mainstream. Yet, a young generation, such as Rauw Alejandro was determined to continue the evolution. He often used electronic dance and other types.
